چکیده
The use of porous titanium samples fabricated by space-holder powder metallurgy with bioactive coatings has already been reported to prevent resorption the bone surrounding implant and improve osseointegration, respectively. However, presence pores as well poor adherence brittle behavior inherent glassy affect service implants from these samples. Therefore, they need be optimized. In this work, 50 vol.% porosity substrates were manufactured different pore range size (100–200 355–500 µm) spacer particles coated a bilayer glasses (45S5/1393). effect on tribomechanical properties infiltration glass 1393 along bioactivity 45S5 evaluated instrumented micro-indentation scratch tests formation hydroxyapatite in simulated body fluid. results obtained very promising potential for replacement small tumors cortical tissues, mainly due smaller that present an improved biomechanical biofunctional balance.

متن کاملEnhanced bioactive properties of BiodentineTM modified with bioactive glass nanoparticles
Objective To prepare nanocomposite cements based on the incorporation of bioactive glass nanoparticles (nBGs) into BiodentineTM (BD, Septodent, Saint-Maur-des-Fosses Cedex, France) and to assess their bioactive properties. Material and Methods nBGs were synthesised by the sol-gel method. BD nanocomposites (nBG/BD) were prepared with 1 and 2% nBGs by weight; unmodified BD and GC Fuji IX (GIC, ...
متن کاملEnhanced osteointegration of orthopaedic implant gradient coating composed of bioactive glass and nanohydroxyapatite.
We conducted histologic and histomorphometric studies to evaluate the osteointegration of gradient coatings composed of bioactive glass and nanohydroxyapatite (BG-nHA) on titanium-alloy orthopaedic implants and surrounding bone tissue in vivo. Titanium-alloy implants with a gradient coating (gradient coating group), uncoated implants (uncoated group), and implants with a conventional hydroxyapa...

متن کاملEnhanced osteoblastic activity and bone regeneration using surface-modified porous bioactive glass scaffolds.
The potential use as a bone substitute material of a three-dimensional bioactive glass fiber scaffold composed of Na(2)O-K(2)O-MgO-CaO-B(2)O(3)-P(2)O(5)-SiO(2) (BG1) was investigated in this work. Scaffolds were pre-treated with simulated body fluid (SBF) to promote the formation of two different bone-like apatite layers on their surfaces. The topography and roughness of the deposited layers we...
